What we do
ADVISORY WORK AIMED AT CAPABILITY, NOT PAPERWORK.
Four services, each designed to move an organization further along the Blackline Resilience Model™ — from leadership alignment through to resilience that holds under real pressure.
What guides the work
Independence
No software to sell, no implementation arm to feed. Recommendations are shaped by what the organization needs, not by what we would be paid to build next.
Candor
Findings are delivered plainly. An assessment that reassures leadership without informing it has failed at the only job that mattered.
Proportion
Programs should match the organization’s risk, size, and regulatory posture. More process is not the same as more resilience.
Service 01 · Aligned to stages 1–2
Operational Resilience Advisory
Building resilient organizations through executive leadership and strategic preparedness. We help leadership define what the organization must be able to do without interruption — and then govern to that definition.
- Identification of critical business services and the operations that sustain them
- Impact tolerances set and agreed at executive level
- Governance structure, decision rights, and escalation authority
- Third-party and concentration dependency review
- Board and regulator-facing reporting that reflects real capability
Service 02 · Aligned to stages 2–3
Business Continuity Program Development
Designing practical continuity capabilities aligned with organizational objectives. Whether you are standing up a program for the first time or repairing one that has drifted, the goal is the same: something your teams will actually use.
- Program charter, scope, and operating rhythm
- Business impact analysis scaled to the organization, not to a template
- Recovery strategies with named owners and realistic timelines
- Plan architecture that people can follow under stress
- Maintenance cadence, training, and program metrics
Service 03 · Aligned to stage 4
Executive Crisis Leadership & Tabletop Exercises
Preparing leadership teams to make confident decisions during disruption. Exercises are written around your operations and your people — not a generic scenario — and are run to surface real friction rather than to produce a clean report.
- Executive and board-level tabletop exercises
- Scenario design grounded in your critical services and known dependencies
- Crisis team structure, roles, and decision thresholds
- Communications and stakeholder sequencing under pressure
- Candid after-action findings with a short list of executive decisions
Service 04 · Entry point to the model
Rapid Resilience Assessment™
Understand current resilience capability and identify opportunities for improvement. A focused, time-boxed engagement that gives leadership an honest baseline and a prioritized path forward — usually within a few weeks.
- Structured interviews with executive and operational stakeholders
- Review of existing governance, plans, and exercise history
- Capability rated against the five stages of the Blackline Resilience Model™
- Gap analysis separating what is documented from what is practiced
- Prioritized roadmap with effort, sequence, and expected outcome
The Blackline Resilience Model™
Every service maps to a stage.
Engagements are sequenced against a single methodology, so leadership always knows which stage the organization is in and what the next one requires.
Align executive priorities around what matters most before disruption.
Establish clear ownership, authority, and decision rights.
Build the practical capability to respond, not just the plan.
Prove readiness through exercises and honest evaluation.
Sustain performance under pressure as an organizational trait.
Engagement shapes
- Assessment
- A defined-scope review producing a baseline, findings, and a prioritized roadmap. Often the first engagement, and frequently sufficient on its own.
- Program build
- A multi-phase engagement to design or rebuild a continuity or operational resilience program, with capability transferred to your team as it is built.
- Exercise series
- A planned sequence of executive exercises across a year, escalating in complexity, with findings tracked to closure between sessions.
- Advisory retainer
- Ongoing access to senior counsel for leadership teams carrying the program internally — for board reporting, regulatory response, or live events.
